These waterproof labels are made from a unique material that looks and prints like paper but is durable like plastic film. The microporous structure makes the product absorptive yet water resistant, soft and pliable but strong, highly printable and durable. The porous, uncoated nature of the sheet allows inks to form strong bonds with the substrate. Should not be submerged in water for longer than 2 hrs when applied to product.
The material is waterproof, durable (chemical and abrasion resistant), conformable, steam sterilisable and offers a long life alternative to paper labels.
Marine grade UV acrylic adhesive in conjunction with this face material is approved to BS5609 Part 2 (labelling of chemicals for transport by sea/air). For tight radius labelling the conformability of the face combined with the strength of the adhesive makes this combination ideal.
The adhesive meets the requirements of FDA 21 CFR 175.105 (for indirect food contact), EN71-3 (Toy Safety), CONEG, The Packaging (Essential Requirements) Regulations 2015 & EU Regulation 94/62/EC (Packaging and Packaging Waste).
