What exactly is saddle stitching?
With saddle stitched booklets, the page spreads are stacked and stapled along the spine before folding. Saddle stitching is a very easy and cost effective way of binding booklets and documents. Maybe that’s why it’s so popular with our trade customers.
Why choose saddle stitched?
If your document is 48 pages or less, saddle stitched could well be your ideal solution. It’s low cost with a fast turnaround time and the finished product looks extremely professional. There’s no minimum order, so you can print exactly what you need, cutting down down on waste.
If your booklet is to be included in a folder or report, you can have it hole punched along the rear edge and if it has over 24 pages, we’ll square off the spine. This means it will fold flat and won’t spring open.
In saddle stitched books, the spreads open fully. This gives you more design options because you can run graphics and images over two pages.

What sizes are available?
Our most popular size is A4, but we also supply saddle stitched booklets at 210mm x 210mm, A5, 1/3 A4 and our most recent addition, A6. You can also choose landscape or portrait.
Can I use any type of paper?
You can choose from a vast range of paper types, weights and finishes. Most of our customers go for a heavier cover and lighter internal pages. We offer many different paper weights and you can have your booklet printed on premium uncoated, silk or gloss paper. You can have matt or gloss lamination and most customers choose lamination for the cover, giving it extra strength and durability.
